MODERN FLORAL DESIGN
--
Complete courses in professional floral design are concentrated into three weeks, two  weeks, or one week classes. Creative designing for the beginner or the established florist. Advance

instruction in the newest ideas as well as basic fundamentals. Valuable information on flower shop management, buying, mark-up, sales promotion and floral keeping quality are covered,

but the emphasisis always upon practical floral designing. Dates of classes, 9 am – 5 pm , (7 ½ hours of instruction per day,) held at 634 South Wabash Avenue are:


January 7-25 (three weeks)

January 28--February 1 (one week--Living with Flowers)

February 25--March 7 (two weeks)

March 9-10 (Advanced Wedding Workshop)

June 2-20 (three weeks)
July 14-25 (two weeks)

July 15--Sept. 18 (Night Class, Tues. & Thur. Nights, 6 to 9 PM)

July 27--28 (Advanced European Floral Design Workshop)
August 4-22 (three weeks)
September 8-26 (three weeks
October 6-17 (two weeks)

TUITION FEES
- $1,125.00 for the three week class, $900.00 for the two week class, $450.00 for the one week class, including the very amply quantity of fresh flowers, foliages, and all the other materials and 2 floral design

textbooks used in classroom practice, (except a florist knife). Application fee of U.S. $50.00 is payable with application. TOTAL INSTRUCTIONAL COSTS: $1,125.00 (3 weeks), or $900.00 (2 weeks), or $450.00 (1 week).

                                                      
PAYMENT SCHEDULE – I submit U.S. $50.00 as an application fee to hold a place in the class, which is part of the total. The balance of the tuition, $1,075.00 (or $850.00 or $400.00) is payable in advance or is payable on the first

day of class. Payments may be made by: cash, check (U.S. bank), or traveler's checks (in U.S. dollars.) CREDIT CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

 

REFUND POLICY- If the prospective student cannot attend the scheduled class, the application fee will be refunded or held for a later enrollment, provided the school is notified at least 1 week (7 days) before the class begins.

Otherwise, the application fee will be forfeited. If the student discontinues the schedule class, after the class begins, the tuition will be refunded on a daily pro-rated basis. Refunds will be made within fifteen (15) calendar days from date

of receipt of the cancellation/withdrawal. All monies paid by the students will be refunded if the student is not accepted by the school or if the class is cancelled.

 

BUYER’S RIGHT TO CANCEL – The buyer has the right to cancel this contract until the midnight of the 5th business day after this contract is signed by the buyer and the buyer is

accepted by the school. Notice of cancellation shall be made orally or in writing to: James Moretz, 634 South Wabash Avenue, Suite 210 , Chicago , Illinois 60605-1808 (312)922-9328.

  NOTICE TO BUYER – 1.  Do not sign this agreement before you read it or if it contains any blank spaces; 2. This is a legal instrument. Both pages of the contract are binding.  Read both

pages before signing; 3. You are entitled to an exact copy of this agreement and any disclosure pages you sign; 4. Every assignee  of this contract takes it subject to all claims and defenses

of the buyer or his successors in interest arising under this agreement; 5. This contract and the school catalog constitute the entire agreement between the buyer and the school.

STUDENT PROGRESS – The American Floral Art School uses a pass/fail evaluation in determining the awarding of diplomas. Written and practical tests are given and students receive
evaluation

and test scores. No numerical grades are given on creativity exercises. A student who is absent for more than two (2) days (or equivalent) must make up the absence before receiving a diploma.
